The Diavolo Methodology
Join Jacques Heim, Founder and Creative Director of DIAVOLO and Choreographer for Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ as well as diavolo's new resident show escape, along with members of the DIAVOLO team for a week of exploration in movement, architecture, and creation.
The DIAVOLO Winter Intensive is an open-level, seven-day experience for dancers, movers, and athletes from all backgrounds!
Participants will train inside DIAVOLO’s newly renovated black box performance space, engaging in ensemble work, partnering, and
structure-based training inspired by the company’s newest production, ESCAPE.
Train with the Artists Behind ESCAPE
Work directly with company members currently performing in ESCAPE and learn from the creative process THAT drivES DIAVOLO’s INNOVATIVE WORK.
Participants will train with structures featured in the production and experience the methods that define DIAVOLO’s approach to movement and architecture.
Many of our current ESCAPE performers began their journey with DIAVOLO through an intensive or through our education company, VOLO.
This program is an excellent way to connect with our creative team and to be considered for opportunities to perform or teach with DIAVOLO, such as future renditions of escape.

Guidance from DIAVOLO’s Creative Team
Train directly with Jacques Heim and current DIAVOLO company members. Gain insight into the creative and physical process behind our newest production, ESCAPE, and learn how the company builds movement through collaboration, structure, and storytelling.

Work with Our Signature Structures
Experience hands-on training with architectural set pieces straight from ESCAPE. Discover the foundations of DIAVOLO’s unique movement language, a blend of strength, trust, and imagination, using the same structures that have appeared and inspired performances on stages around the world, from Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ to the 2024 Grammy Awards with Dua Lipa.

Open Studio Showing
The week concludes with an informal in-studio presentation on January 10, where participants share their work with invited guests, family, and friends. Be among the first to perform inside DIAVOLO’s newly renovated black box theater.

Designed for all levels, this intensive encourages exploration, creativity, and growth. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to DIAVOLO’s methods, you’ll be challenged in a space that values curiosity and collaboration.

Many of our current company members and VOLO educators began their journey through a DIAVOLO intensive. Participation in the Winter Intensive offers the chance to be considered for future projects and teaching opportunities within DIAVOLO.
