Applicant must be a currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year undergraduate program. This internship is only available for current Los Angeles County residents OR students currently enrolled in a college or university within Los Angeles County.
development & finance intern
The Development and Finance Intern will learn the fundamentals of fundraising, finance and administration in a mid-sized world-renowned movement dance company. Duties will include: (1) coordinating individual giving initiatives (direct mail, online, events), (2) supporting finance-related activities (payroll, budgets, cash flow), and (3) draft grant applications and reports. The Intern will have the opportunity to interact with DIAVOLO’s professional staff, thereby gaining exposure to their diverse responsibilities and learning about the multitude of career options available in the performing arts.

artistic INTERN
The Artistic Intern will learn the major components of running a nationally-recognized dance company by working directly with the artistic staff. The Intern’s duties will consist of (1) advancing DIAVOLO’s arts education programs, (2) coordinating DIAVOLO’s program schedule, (3) managing DIAVOLO’s social media accounts, and (4) creating and designing content in order to reach the company’s target audience. The Intern will have the opportunity to interact with DIAVOLO’s professional staff, thereby gaining exposure to their diverse responsibilities and learning about the multitude of career options available in the performing arts.

QUALIFICATIONS & HOW TO APPLY
Desired applicant should have strong organization and communication skills. They should be a “self-starter” who is motivated, dependable, and an adaptable team player with a genuine interest in the arts. Passion for dance is a plus. Excellent writing, editing and design skills are highly desirable. Pre-requisites include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), social media (e.g.- Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) and Photoshop. Candidates should desire a position during normal business hours, usually 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional schedule adjustment for activities on evenings and weekends, that will afford them access and exposure to all areas of arts administration.
