Born and raised in Schenectady, New York, Ezra Masse-Mahar had a very active childhood consisting of acrobatics, sports, dancing and camping. He practiced Tai Chi, crew, wrestling, and competitive diving, for which he still holds his high school’s record. He studied dance in University at Buffalo’s arts department in Western New York. After a short career, Ezra broke both of his ankles. He not only learned how to walk again, but also how to pursue his dreams of expressing art to the world. Ezra has been with Diavolo since 2012, performing with the company all over the world and for Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. In between filming episodes of the talent show, he rode his bicycle from Los Angeles to New York within the span of 33 days. In 2018, Ezra took some time off, working as a gravedigger, becoming a stagehand union electrician and was inducted into the baton twirling hall of fame. He is now back with Diavolo and is enjoying focusing on his artistry.
